“The blue vessel is the materialisation of a spiritual quest, influenced by my personal interest in the transitional journey between our physical world and other dimensions or realms. While I imagine our world to be bound by space, time, beliefs and emotions … the unknown alternative is timeless and spaceless – it is energy and infinity. This work represents the carrier to travel between realms. Its shape symbolises the womb, and its colour relates to water: the sources of physical life. My artistic intent finds its roots in abstraction as a conceptual approach to broaden interpretation from the viewer’s vantage point.”
