Adri Rademeyer

I was born in 1976, in the small town of Broederstroom and matriculated in 1994 at Hartbeespoort High School in the North-West province. I realised early on that I had a passion for art. I took Art as a subject during high school. After that, I didn’t have any formal training, except that I enrolled in various private short courses, covering drawing and painting.

In the meantime, I had “normal” jobs to support myself, with the odd group exhibition here and there. Later in life, my passion for creating art grew stronger and I eventually decided that I wanted to become a full-time artist. I started exhibiting with smaller, lesser-known art galleries in my area and eventually as time passed, I managed to be represented by art galleries in Franschhoek and in Cape Town and Johannesburg and currently I’m working towards a solo exhibition at Rust and Vrede gallery in Cape Town during February 2025.

Today I still take the time to educate myself through various live drawing and painting workshops. I also take part in as many exhibitions as I can. My passion for art is stronger than ever and I cannot imagine my life without creating art!
