At Bont Huijs we approach art differently.
We want to protect our artists and still offer you the best commission in South Africa, which is why we only charge 10% on the artist’s cost.

One of the highlights is an 11-piece collection of caricatures by Dov Fedler. These are highly collectable and adorably cute.
Another highlight of the auction are these five fantastic mixed-media drawings depicting crows, by the celebrated Louis Kok.

Here’s How It Works:
1. We offer seller’s and buyer’s commission @ 10%, respectively. These are curated, timed auctions of goods and art. Be sure to allow notifications on our app or sign up to our auctioning newsletter to stay updated.
2. An invoice will be sent via email which will contain a secured link to the Payfast payment gateway. You can either make use of the latter or pay via EFT.
3. You need to sign up here, to be registered as a user. In addition, for every new auction, a quick sign up is required (you will be prompted to do so on the platform) to be able to bid on desired items.
4. We can only accept items for consignment via email at info@bonthuijs.co.za or in the app. Because we are focused on curated auctions, all submissions are considered carefully and we’ll get back to you within two or three days. We need this time to research and establish a fair offer.
5. For ease of reference please use the following details when mailing us:
- Please supply ample images of the item.
- Supply the sizes.
- Ssupply all available information regarding style, age, condition and any provenance that may be known.
- Supply your asking price.
