A Contemporary South African Artist (SA 1972 – )
Victor Geduldt is a local self-taught artist from Bloemfontein, Free State born on the 3rd of November 1972. At the age of 14 he started experimenting with different mediums such as acrylic, oil and mixed mediums. Victor is very passionate about his work and has great love for music. He is also his own photographer and uses it as references for his artwork, hence he finds his inspiration in his immediate surroundings. Anything that catches his eye will be portrayed on canvas. His inspiration also comes from different communities as he
documents the different cultures.
A few highlights of his career:
He has featured in several group exhibitions, such as Pallacan art Gallery, Oliewenhuis Art Museum, Kortze Art Gallery to name a few. His last solo exhibition was at Gallery on Liverseur 2017 whereby the theme was entitled as“chasing the dream”. Recently you will find Victor’s art work being displayed at fairs around the country and also one international show per year. Victor has made several donations to charities like CANSA, Angel’s Foundation, Angel’s Heart and Children’s orphanages in Bloemfontein and he has also helped transfer his skills around small towns in Bloemfontein. This is just his way of giving back to his community.
