James is best known for his masterful impressionist talent, but every now and then he creates abstract pieces, which I always make sure to snatch up first.

This is a stunning oil on canvas that fits into the realm of gestural abstraction with a strong colour-field influence.  I had the work framed with solid hardwood in an ash finish – I love the contrast.
