Ruth Walter
My art Journey started when I attended the School of Art, Ballet and Music in the early 70‘s in Parktown, Johannesburg.
And much later a long distance Fine Art Study through UNISA.
At Art School we were introduced to a variety of disciplines. Life drawing, still life, portraits, design, sculpture etc.
Painting was limited to watercolour and poster paints.
Back in Namibia after Art Schoo I attended art classes with local art teachers, Christine Marais and Nicholas Galloway in Swakopmund.
When I moved to Johannesburg in my 30’s I enrolled at UNISA and after moving to Clarens in 2006 I taught myself oil painting.
I have exhibited work at Kleine Gallery, Windhoek The Showroom Gallery, Pretoria Tina Skukan Gallery, Pretoria
Art and Wine Gallery, and Clarens.
Presently I live in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape where I spend my days painting in my studio.
